Pastor's para

It was little over a year ago that we made changes in the church foyer;
we freshened the area with a re-paint and a re-curtain
we purchased seven sofas for an end-of-line below cost price from the Warehouse (where Opawa gets a bargain!)
after a weekend trial in May, we purchased and plumbed in a second-hand coffee machine in November.

I was reflecting on the impact of these changes this week, when it suddenly occurred to me that the foyer has been in use almost every night over this past week:

On Monday night, for Spirited Exchanges; an Opawa led group for people needing space to be real about issues relating to faith and the church.
On Tuesday night, for our espresso church congregation.
On Wednesday night, for “Where is God on Monday?”
On Thursday, for Alpha and Youth Alpha.
It was also used twice on Saturday, in the morning for a YouthTrain Communication course and in the afternoon for the second running of “Where is God on Monday?”

What a joy to see our facilities being used so well over a week for pastoral care, for worship, for outward focused spiritual growth, for evangelism and for training.
